Ireland dont despair! Protest! Strike! Occupy!
The useless gombeens in the Fianna Fail Green government have brought us to the point of near collapse. The Irish elite have been withdrawing deposits from AIB and BOI, 12 Billion having left, and now our banks need more cash. So the Irish taxpayer gets lumbered with another 100 Bilion in debts! And where will this money go? To pay off German, French and UK banks.
When companies fail under capitalism their rivals come in and tear out their machines, sell off everything they can as scrap, and hire the unemployed on miserabe wages- well now the same is happening on the scale of an entire nation.
But we should not despair. This is a wealthy country. The rich have 151 Billion in assets and 40 Billion in cash. There are over 33,000 multi millionaires in this small country of ours. It doesnt have to be this way but in order to stop local and international vultures pushing down the minimum wage and slashing welfare and services we have to fight back. We need to throw off this mountain of debt and force the rich to pay for their own crisis.
The TEEU have been calling for mass civil dosobedience. That's exactly what we need. Protests, mass sitdowns, strikes and occupations. The student protest showed the way workers should resist.
Build the protests-
12 noon this saturday Nov27th at Wood Quay ICTU have called a mass demonstration marching to the GPO. We need everyone on that march to force our union leaders to call further actions. They need to know we want this country shut down on Budget Day!
On Budget Day itself the Right To Work have called a protest for 7pm fom Parnell Square marching on the Dail itself. Let's give our politicians the welcome they deserve when they leave the building at 9pm!
Call 0872704143 to get posters leaflets etc help build in any way you can!
