Eamon Gilmore has been invited as the guest of honour at the black tie- Bray Chamber of Commerce dinner in Bray Fri 23rd November at 6.30pm
The Wicklow CAHWT have decided to call a protest to let Gilmore know that while he dines on the best food money can buy.
Many people are going to bed hungry every night while this government are threatening people with court action for not paying a 100 euro. SHAME ON GILMORE.

In a statement today, the Wicklow Housing Action Campaign announced that it will be protesting outside Anne Ferris TD’s local office in Bray, tomorrow (Monday) morning at 9.30am.
The Housing Action Campaign will be calling on the local TD to use her influence in government to reverse the new Rent Allowance caps.

We are protesting in solidarity with our colleagues in the Dáil who today are raising the issue of attacks on low paid workers, as a result of proposed amendments to JLC rates and working conditions, and in solidarity with citizens demonstrating at the gates of Leinster House on the same issue. Fine Gael and Labour lied to the electorate and now they’ve done a U-turn. During the general election they said they would insist on ‘burden sharing’: getting speculators and bondholders to pay for their own mistakes. Now they want to put €24 billion of our money into bailing out the banks. No wonder that the former FF Finance Minister, Brian Lenihan, was gloating.
