There were massive demonstrations against austerity in Spain and Portugal today (Saturday).
Protesters from across the Spanish state converged in the capital, Madrid, in a national mobilisation against the government’s cuts. It was called by a coalition of trade unions and other organisations.
Ten “tides” of feeder marches in different colours assembled around the city, representing different sectors and regions.

Azaz in northern Syria is a town under the control of the opposition. Everything from the baking of bread to the welfare of thousands of refugees from Aleppo is run by revolutionary committees.
That’s why the dictator Bashar al-Assad bombed it. He attacked with air strikes, as the regime doesn’t have the forces on the ground to take back such cities—all they had was the airport.

What should have been a relaxing Saturday afternoon for the residents of an East Side apartment complex in Anaheim, Calif., instead turned into a nightmare on July 21.
Neighbors watched in horror as Anaheim police first shot Manuel Diaz in the back of his leg--and then executed him with a bullet to the head in their courtyard around 4 p.m.

Sudanese Diaspora in Ireland are standing in O’Connell Street, on Saturday, 30th June 2012, at 1pm to support the revolution in their home land, towards the civil disobedience called in the country.
The opposition has called for civil disobedience in the whole country with vast demonstrations in all cities of Sudan on the 29th June after Friday’s prayers and have appealed to people to stay in the streets for the restoration of democracy, raped by Omer El Bashir and the ruling Islamists in a military- coup in 1989.

Secret documents reveal that Palestinian negotiators were prepared to offer Israel almost anything to get something they could call a state. Despite this surrender, Israeli negotiators still refused an agreement.
Documents leaked to Arabic TV network Al Jazeera show the farce the negotiations on the creation of a Palestinian state have been.
More than 1,600 documents detail negotiations between Israel and Fatah, which runs the Palestinian Authority, between 1999 and 2010.
